Introducing the Newest Addition | Santa Monica Newborn and Child Photographer

Photographing precious Miss A was delightful!  I truly enjoyed visiting with her mama and grandparents during her portrait session.  Once Miss A is a little bit older she is going to have so much fun running around after her big brother.  Seventeen months is such a busy, curious age - so I was especially pleased that we were able to grab some fun shots of her big brother.  Thank you, D Family, for warmly welcoming me into your lives and for the honor of documenting Miss A's first days at home.  It's clear that she is already so loved and adored!

I am thrilled with the resulting images from our time together, but I especially love the eye contact in the image below.  It's a rarity to get such great eye contact from a newborn baby.  Love it!

Welcome Precious Baby | Los Angeles Newborn Photographer

I had a wonderful time visiting with this sweet family again.  I first met them during their maternity portrait session and we hit it off right away.  I was so excited to meet the newest member of their family: handsome baby C!  Just like my little guy, his arrival was a bit late but definitely worth the wait.  He is so adorable and perfect!  Since the kitties were very curious about what we were up to, I loved getting to include them in a few shots.  C and A, your love for your baby boy is already clearly so strong and I am sure that you will be incredible parents.  What a lucky little guy he is to have you both!  Thank you for welcoming me into your lives and for the privilege of documenting this incredible journey you are on together.  Wishing you all the best as you enjoy snuggling your sweet baby!

And Baby Makes Four | Orange County Newborn Photographer

I love getting to photograph families as they grow and welcome a new baby.  I especially love photographing growing families over the years when they are so dear to my heart.  It doesn't seem like that long ago that we documented their first maternity portraits, their first newborn portrait session, and their annual family portraits.  Looking back at this family's past portrait sessions reminds me how quickly time rushes on and with the blink of an eye our babies are grown.  This notion makes me so thankful for my camera and my perspective because I can chronicle brief moments in a child's life.  I hope that this somehow helps slow down time, if only for a moment.  It was really special for me to watch Miss J become a big sister and to do it with such love and devotion.  S and B, thank you for inviting me to document Miss K during her first week of life.  I know she is already deeply loved by you both and by her big sister.  She is one lucky, beautiful, little, baby girl!

I loved getting to see Miss Hallie again for her 3 month portraits.  It's hard to believe how quickly she has grown in such a short period of time.  She is still just as pretty as when I met her to take her newborn portraits.  When she was cooing her adorable smiles just melted my heart!  Lauren and Andrew, it's so clear how much you love and adore your little girl (and each other) and she is very lucky to have you as parents.  Thank you, once again, for welcoming me into your home and your lives.  All the best to you and your family!

Happy Birthday Little Beauty | Orange County Baby Photographer

It's a joy to photograph a family as they grow!  Last year I documented this wonderful couple's pregnancy with a gorgeous maternity session.  Then I got to capture the arrival of their sweetie, Miss L, with a very special newborn session.  Documenting her first birthday was so fun!  Her mama brought so many great outfits and props!  This session made me feel so sentimental to return to the same location exactly one year later and witness how much has changed.  It really demonstrated that the passage of time in a baby's life is so fleeting, they change so quickly, and how we grow to love them more with every passing day.  I was honored to photograph Miss L's first year - and look forward to documenting her family throughout the years to come.  After her practice with cake tasting during this photo session, I think she will be ready to dig into her cake at her first birthday party which is coming up soon!
