It's been a joy to photograph this amazing family over the years. Their love for one another clearly continues to grow. It was an honor to document Lyla while she was still in her mama's belly, when she was a newborn, at her first, second, and third birthdays, while Owen was still in his mama's belly, when he was a newborn, and now for his first birthday. With my work I'm so privileged to watch families grow over the years and I feel a little like an honorary auntie. I truly love these kiddos and their parents! xoxo
Baby Benjamin | Los Angeles Newborn Photographer
Baby Benjamin was welcomed with love by his big brother, big sister, and parents. I had the honor of documenting this amazing milestone for this growing family. During my time with the Shumaker family it was evident that this little guy is going to be smothered with love by all who surround him. This year I have refocused my business on high school senior portraits and I don't photograph many newborn sessions anymore. But I had to make an exception when my dear friend asked me to photograph her sweet family. Much love to your family as you soak in these first weeks as a family of five!
Fall is the Season for Family Portraits
I love getting to reconnect with my families every year and being a part of their lives. Documenting the growth, changes, and even new additions to the family makes my work as a photographer so meaningful to me.
Family portraits create beautiful holiday cards and one-of-a-kind holiday gifts - especially for grandparents!
A few dates are still available for booking this year. Schedule your session to take place before November 15th to receive your portraits in time for the holidays.
Happy Fall from my sweet little pumpkin! Hard to believe this photo was taken three years ago. :-)
Baby's First Year | Los Angeles Baby Photographer
I consider photographing newborn babies and their families a privilege. They are only tiny and new for such a short window of time and I take the responsibility of capturing those first days very seriously. As you can imagine, parents don't get to retake the photos if they don't turn out the way they had dreamed. I also enjoy documenting the new connections between the parents and newborn as they are just getting to know one another. What I love even more is getting to document a family as their babies grow. I love seeing their unique personalities begin to emerge. I love getting to document the important milestones of first gummy smiles, rolling over, sitting up, crawling, and first steps. I love watching the parents' thrilled responses to all of their baby's milestones during the first year.
This past year I had the pleasure of documenting Miss O's first year. She has a very special place in my heart since she is my niece. I have shared a few of these photos already, but I wanted to share some more images from each of her portrait sessions during her first 12 months. Thank you, M and S, for inviting me to capture some milestones from her first year. Can't wait to see your little beauty continue to grow and blossom.
Introducing the Newest Addition | Santa Monica Newborn and Child Photographer
Photographing precious Miss A was delightful! I truly enjoyed visiting with her mama and grandparents during her portrait session. Once Miss A is a little bit older she is going to have so much fun running around after her big brother. Seventeen months is such a busy, curious age - so I was especially pleased that we were able to grab some fun shots of her big brother. Thank you, D Family, for warmly welcoming me into your lives and for the honor of documenting Miss A's first days at home. It's clear that she is already so loved and adored!
I am thrilled with the resulting images from our time together, but I especially love the eye contact in the image below. It's a rarity to get such great eye contact from a newborn baby. Love it!
